Impact de l’intégration de la pisciculture à l’agriculture dans la région d’Adrar
Abstract
Aquaculture is increasing around the world. It is becoming a major socio-economic activity. In Algeria, aquaculture, particularly fish
farming, is developing rapidly across all the country regions. View of its potentialities, the region of Adrar has attributed a particular
importance to the integration of fish farming wit h agriculture. In order to study the effect of irrigation by fish farming effluent on forage
crop yields, experiments were carried out at the INRAA experimental station. Two cultures were used: the oat (Avena sativa) i n winter and
millet (Pennisetum glaucum L. R. Br) in summer. The results indicated that the improvement in yields is mainly linked to the number of fish
and their level of activities. Thus, the improvement rate of yields in fresh weight varies from 0 to 12% in winter for the oats crop and from
52.6 to 67.8% in the summer for the millet crop.
